I am a fourth year student at the University of Connecticut double majoring in Psychological Sciences and Human Development and Family Sciences. From a young age, my passion towards mental health advocation in the youth has allowed me to pursue a career in mental health and clinical practice. My dedication in becoming a part of the battle in healing the future generations —who are susceptible to rising mental health risks— has been aided by my experiences interning for UConn Health Center's Psychiatric clinic, and UConn Health’s Summer Research Program. In addition, as an advocate for the BIPOC experience, I was also a coordinator for the Asian/Asian American Mentoring Program at UConn, a staff member for the Asian American Cultural Center, and was a coordinator for the Asian American Cultural Center's Senior Banquet. Thus, I am also an advocate for diversity, teamwork, and strong leadership. I believe that my background and devotion to people of all stories allows a versatile perspective in treating mental health issues and during clinical practice.

Research AssistantUconn Health May 2024 - PresentUConn Health’s Health Research Program intern.I accepted placement as intern for the 2024 cohort. Interning for the Department of Psychiatry aiding in creating surveys, managing participants, conducting lab visits with families, and analyzing data.The study is called “STARS” (Supporting Teen Adjustment and Resilience Study), we are trying to better understand mood dysregulation in parents and their emotional socialization with their children. Observing what do they do, does their children seem affected, how do they emotionally regulate themselves, etc.
