We work diligently with a strong team to complete compliance for a variety of returns in a multitude of states across the US. I sit with other teams' members on audit defense working closely with the company and auditors to provide a clear list of exemptions and information required for audited periods. We work with numerous business units to obtain data needed for our audits. Follow up with auditors requires the need for a deeper analysis of smaller identified samples. I provide compliance for complex motor fuel tax returns, sales and use tax file creation, feed inspection fee, and first purchaser fee. Other tasks can include tax research, exemption certificate completion, licensing, tax rate setup, assessment work, account reconciliation, and tax notices. We are currently developing teams to work on overhaul setup projects within specific software making our processes more efficient. We are also preparing for a merge in ERP systems to SAP S4 HANA. -
