I started working at Radwinter primary school alongside studying towards my degree on a part time basis. It was a steep learning curve as, having never worked with children before, I quickly had to learn how to multitask in difficult situations, to build trust and relationships with the children and work on the way I communicate. This job has taught me patience and fast problem solving in extreme situations. While working with children is not my career goal, my experience with them has pushed me out of my comfort zone and reinforced my want to learn new skills and try new things.

I worked at Saffron Hall alongside my studies from 2019 to 2023. I really enjoyed working in a fast paced environment and while I had previous experience in customer facing roles, I developed multitasking skills and learned new systems and protocols quickly. While in this role, I became a first aider.

I worked at Laura Ashley from 2016 until I decided I would like to pursue a degree in 2019. During my time at Laura Ashely I was quickly promoted from Sales Assistant to Sales Leader. Additionally I was offered a role as Assistant Manager prior to my decision to study. In 2017, I was put in charge of Mastercard sales in my store which required me to motivate the team to sell, join weekly conference calls and keep up to date on financial and legal changes. In 2019, I received Employee of the Month for my region. I developed many transferable skills in this role.

I worked at Wallis from 2015 until I was made redundant in 2016. I began working as a Saturday job while in sixth form and continued in this role once leaving school on a more full time basis. This role involved being solely responsible for the stock and sales as it was a retail concession within a small department store. In this role I developed confidence in working alone, being responsible for stock and in the behind the scenes admin.
