Served as an undergraduate TA for a range of Life Sciences classes. Broke down complicated topics to assist around 150 students total.Facilitated hands on learning experiences with both live animals and organ dissections.Classes taught: Comparative Animal Anatomy and Physiology (Fall 2017), Introduction to Animal Science (Fall 2018), and Ecology (Spring 2020).

Worked on a variety of research projects focusing around providing genetic analysis to wildlife managers including projects dealing with carolina madtom (Noturus furiosus), walleye (Sander vitreus), and coyote (Canis latrans) populations.Performed DNA extractions, DNA amplification protocols, gel electrophoresis, and preparation for Sanger sequencing. Used the software programs Geneious Prime and GeneMarker in the analysis of samples. Communicated research goals and results through writing proposals for funding, presentations, and reports.

Worked to address client and clinic needs on a daily basis through scheduling appointments, answering questions, providing care to animal patients, and helping organize and track inventory. Full-time position seasonally.

Worked on a project summarizing differences in doctor and patient perceptions of quality of life during recovery from Cushing syndrome. Organized and analyzed hundreds of patient and doctor survey results. Maintained databases for ongoing studies and kept samples in storage organized.
