Dr. Caitlin Nash is the Principle Research Analyst at the Justice Reform Office, providing high-level research advice on projects and initiatives aimed at enhancing the Queensland criminal justice system. She has more than 5 years of research experience, with her research expertise encompasses miscarriages of justice, wrongful convictions, pressured guilty pleas, and the legal treatment of women who have endured prolonged domestic abuse. She is passionate about interrogating the aims and limitations of the criminal justice system, highlighting system failures and weaknesses that increase the likelihood of unjust and inequitable outcomes, especially amongst vulnerable populations. She has demonstrated skills in both quantitative and qualitative research methods, including secondary data collection and analysis, conducting and analysing interviews, systemic quantitative literature reviews, and fieldwork management.
