I am preparing to finish my final semester of the Early Childhood Education program through Fleming College. I will be registering with the College of Early Childhood Education pending my graduation. My goal is to work in a childcare centre, as through my placement, I have developed a passion for being in this setting. I enjoy working with the age group in early learning centres and the experiences in this setting. By the end of my semester, I will have completed a 14-week placement at a childcare centre in the town of Norwood, Ontario. I have had the opportunity to facilitate the daily routines, transitions, create provocations and experiences for the children in the preschool room I am currently working in. I have developed relationships with the children during these weeks, and I have connected with the educators I have been working alongside. This opportunity for placement has allowed me to grow professionally by allowing me to use my skills that I have developed during my time in the program. My biggest motivation for being in this profession is I want to help children flourish and ensure they are given the opportunities and possibilities they deserve.
