Biopsychosocial assessment, intervention and support for patient and family, counseling for patient and family, helped the patient and famliy cope with illness and the dying process, provided education about the dying process, provided information and referrals to community resources such as in-home help, financial aid, mental health and protective services, led Careplan meetings with staff, patient, and family members, attended weekly interdisciplinary staff meetings in order to communicate and collaborate with all team members as well as adavocate for my own patients, bereavement support for family members following the death of a loved one, communicated with local mortuaries in order to provided accurate information to patients and familes about their options.

Individual therapy for children ages 5 to 11 years. Use of evidenced based intervention such as CBT, play therapy, and solution focused therapy. Meetings with teachers and parents about children's progress and referrals for community resources. Assisted with logging attendance and maintaing attendance records.

Assisted with running the dayroom by serving meals, running showers, giving out clean clothes and providing emotional support and crisis intervention when necessary. Did intakes with new clients and gave tours of agency and provided orientation to services. Lead a weekly group on coping skills. Provided individual therapy. Linked clients to community resources.

Lead daily activities and supervised 10 teenaged drug addicts living in a residential facility called the Girls Recovery Lodge. Responsibilities included preparing/supervising meal time, going to AA/NA meetings, overseeing school time, running groups, providing one-on-one counseling and support, administering medications three times a day, driving the girls on field trips and supervising them, documentation of girl's progress as well as designing interventions/consequences for behavioral problems. Often was the only staff on duty in charge of 10 girls ages 12 to 18.

Answered phones, helped set up for committee hearings, and provided other administrative support under Rep. John Dingell and Rep. Henry Waxman.

Served as the Episcopalian Urban Internship Program (EUIP)/Americorps intern at a drop-in center for homeless youth ages 12-24. Interviewed/trained volunteers, supervised groups of volunteers, lead tours of the agency, ran special events such as holiday celebrations and birthday parties. Worked in the dayroom running showers, handing out food, giving out clothing, and developed relationships with the youth and used harm reduction/low barrier philosophy of the agency to help young people. Provided crisis intervention when necessary. Reported child abuse/neglect when necessary. Provided community resources and linked young people to needle exchanges, parenting support, and low cost health care. Led a cooking workshop once a week to teach the youth about cheap, easy, healthy ways of cooking their own food.

Ran a daily law library to let prisoners research their own cases, responded to complaint forms and issues of abuse/prisoner's rights being violated, assisted with legal procedings for prisoners who were representing themselves, co-led a book group for women prisoners, walked cell to cell asking if anyone needed legal assistance.
