Medical Laboratory Scientist cross trained in Hematology, Chemistry, and Immunology.

With the Baldwin County Tax Commissioner's office, my job was to keep records for two departments updated and organized. I have designed an organizational system and schedule (Microsoft Excel) for all records in the office in which each employee has a role in carrying out. I also work on miscellaneous projects throughout the year to keep the office functioning efficiently. My current role is to calculate homestead exemptions and verify correct values for county property tax.

Assisted in research projects related to the analysis of azole-resistant Aspergillus fumigatus genome via DNA sequencing and understanding what mutations contribute to resistance, along with designing a rapid detection assay kit using AsperGenius as a model and optimizing the technology for rapid detection of resistant strains in soil samples.

I have experience in working front counter, drive-thru, and face-to-face. I was also trained in prep and some back-of-house tasks.

This was a short-term fellowship offered to select graduating seniors. The president of the College chose a small group work in select offices within the college in order to better understand what each department's job entailed. I was chosen for a position in the Office of Institutional Research. My job was to analyze college websites to determine what information was available and how easy/difficult it was to access. My research contributed to the overall goal of building a well-designed and easily accessible website for GMC. Microsoft Excel was used to keep the information neat and organized.
