• Responsible for originating and developing new business opportunities for Spectra Energy's Northeast pipelines. Current focus is on leading a $3+ billion, 125-mile pipeline and liquefied natural gas storage expansion project in New England, including: o Spearhead all aspects of project origination and development including customer communications and negotiations, project positioning, economic evaluation, commercial contracts and partner management (two largest utilities in New England)o Liaise with numerous internal and external groups to advance project into execution and in-serviceo Responsible for allocation of capital to meet established ROI metrics o Actively involved in state/federal regulatory processes (state RFP and federal application development) • Serve as “chief of staff” to the U.S. Transmission President – providing strategic guidance and messaging for investor relations, board of directors and internal engagements

As the first new high-pressure pipeline to cross New Jersey into Manhattan in 40+ years, the project faced unprecedented opposition, requiring proactive and novel communication strategies. The project was successfully completed in 2013 on-time. o Planned and executed media and crisis management strategy that highlighted project benefits, garnered support and furthered regulatory and public policy goalso Drove the development of public awareness campaigns and outreach to gain support from local communities and influencers (i.e., mayors, police unions, pipefitter union)o Led the company to implement traditional political outreach techniques for the first time (i.e., polling, door-to-door signature canvasing, social media targeting, pro-project website and blog)o Developed stump speech on project’s community benefits and delivered to audiences throughout New Jersey and New York o Supervised and acted as day-to-day contact for communication team and PR/advertising agency
