Early-career epidemiologist working as an ORISE Fellow at the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) on the Global Reproductive Health Evidence for Action (GREAT) team within the Division of Reproductive Health (DRH). I am an alumni from the University of Georgia with a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree in Epidemiology as well as a B.S. in Microbiology with a minor in Global Health. I have a strong background in research and customer service with leadership skills such as being a shift leader. I am proficient in R and Microsoft Office with work experience in Excel. I also have a proven history of exceptional organizational and time-management skills. Throughout my undergraduate degree program, I was a full-time student with two part-time jobs, involved in Prince Avenue Baptist Church’s college ministry, and volunteered once per week in the children’s ministry. As a graduate student, I was an Instructor of Record for BIOL 1103L and CHEM 1211L while taking at least 12 credit hours each semester. I am a hard worker and extremely dedicated to both school and work. In my free time, I enjoy watching sports, specifically hockey and UGA's (two-time) nationally ranked football team. I also love to spend time outdoors by going hiking or camping. To relax after a long day, I enjoy cooking a homemade dinner and watching a movie. During the summer of 2023, my husband and I spent 9 weeks traveling across the country. We visited 18 national parks, 20 states, and lived out of a van for the entire trip. We ended up driving a total of 12,000 miles and hiking a total of 158 miles! This trip was the most eye-opening experience I have ever had, and I also learned some survival skills.
