About Caitlin Addlesperger
I currently work for Ucross, an artist residency program with an art gallery on a beautiful 20,000-acre ranch in northern Wyoming. Throughout my professional life, I have been drawn to storytelling, which I have employed in the worlds of philanthropy, for-profit, journalism, and academia. This translates to marketing, development, brand management, and internal and external communications, as well as strategic planning — I want to support the future story of the organization.Along with directing related ongoing operations, I love to dream up and implement projects, such as:• creating, opening, and running the Ucross Café, which augments the work of alumni artists featured in world-class exhibitions at the Ucross Art Gallery; • directing events, most recently the 40th Anniversary Gala in Ucross, Wyoming, and Ucross Gala & Benefit in Houston, Texas. Held less than six weeks and more than 1,400 miles apart from each other, these fundraising events successfully told the Ucross story to significantly different constituencies and raised more than $1 million;• developing, overseeing, and marketing publications, including "The Ucross Cookbook," more art book than recipes, with launch events in New York and LA; "Eataly Magazine," a digital publication for Eataly USA that has been used for international locations; and "SCENE," an arts-and-culture journal;• creating Press Pass, a membership program with county-wide partnerships to increase subscriptions and improve community engagement for The Sheridan Press; • developing, launching, and directing content for My Bighorns, the first local events app; and• conceiving of, organizing, and leading academic field trips and cultural workshops for study abroad students across Italy.I am particularly passionate about the arts, food and culture (especially Italian), and land conservation/sustainability. I am equal parts at home among the skyscrapers of New York, the cobblestone streets of Italy, and the mountains and plains of Wyoming. I have been lucky to work for incredible organizations across these fields and in these locations. In my free time, I like to bask in nature with my family, serve on arts and culture boards in my region, and — at least before my two-year-old was born — teach Italian language and cooking classes.
