I am a current Student Affairs professional specializing in advising and counseling college students, particularly students in transition. I am passionate about mentorship and the impact these relationships can have on a student’s success. I have a strong interest in student retention and enjoy helping students explore their interests and find their fit within an institution. •Current ProjectsI am currently serving as a Career Services Advisor and New England Institute of Technology. In this role I work with current students and recent graduates to assist with their career and professional development and help them put their best foot forward in their job search. This includes helping with resumes, cover letters, interview prep, job searching, interview follow up, LinkedIn, etc. I also work closely with employers and other industry professionals by connecting them with NEIT students and creating targeting recruitment programming towards students looking to enter their specific field.•Functional AreasI have experience in a wide variety of functional areas within Higher Education including career counseling / career development, academic advising, academic support services, orientation programs / first-year experiences, international education / study abroad, and student housing. Additionally, I have strong counseling background from my master’s coursework which allows me to have very intentional one on one conversation with students in my office.•Types of InstitutionsI have experience working at a wide variety of institutions including, two-year schools, technical colleges, small liberal arts institutions, and large state universities. As a result, I have a strong perception of student needs across the board.
