Responsible for: - Providing coordination of the daily operations of the Office of the Financial Administrator - Directing and supervising accounting department clerical and technical staff in the review, processing and verification of all charges, claims, demands, and accounts for the Town - Directing and supervising payroll staff, staff assigned to process accounts payable, accounting staff and all staff in the Department of Information Technology- Responsible for the review of the operations, accounts and fiscal affairs of every department of the Town pursuant to prevailing laws or regulations, and auditing all income financial transactions to assure sufficiency and accuracy.- Maintaining records and preparing financial reports as required; processing, auditing and approving all disbursements of Town funds. - Respond to inquiries from the Office of the Supervisor, Town Board, Town Clerk and Town Attorney and interact with the Department Heads of all Town Departments- Provide assistance to the Financial Administrator in the issuance of all town indebtedness and the investment of idle funds- Assisting the Financial Administrator in preparation of departmental operating budgets, administering all budget funds and appropriation accounts; preparing and coordinating projected budgetary forecasts for operating and capital improvement needs and perform such other related duties as assigned by the Financial Administrator- In the absence of the Financial Administrator, the deputy financial administrator shall have the authority to take over and perform the duties of the Financial Administrator, including but not limited to, preparation of financial reports, presentation to the Town Board and execution of instruments of indebtedness
