As the ACT Manager for Consult Australia, Caitlin is responsible for all operations in the ACT and advocating for consulting firms in the built and natural environment. Further to… Show more As the ACT Manager for Consult Australia, Caitlin is responsible for all operations in the ACT and advocating for consulting firms in the built and natural environment. With a focus on advocating for members, the role requires monitoring of the policy, political and legislative environment as it pertains to Canberra, advocating policy positions to local policymakers and other stakeholders, preparation of government submissions and representing industry interests in the media. Further to advocacy work, the ACT Manager also develops and delivers a program of Division events and professional development opportunities for members, supports FutureNet, a local young professionals network, serves as the ACT Executive Committee Secretariat, manages the Division budget, manages local member recruitment and engagement activities, recruits and manages relationships with sponsors, fosters alliances with allied industry and advocacy groups, develops and maintains relationships with key political, industry and other relevant stakeholders, and writes and curates all communications (including media releases, Consult Australia articles and publications, and social media) for the ACT Division.Consult Australia is the industry association for consulting companies in the built environment sector, including engineers, architects, project managers, planners, environmental scientists and quantity surveyors, among others.We exist to assist our member firms by offering a range of products and services to help them run their business, as well as acting as their collective advocate to government and other stakeholders in pursuit of a better operating environment and robust public policy for the built and natural environment. As the National Awards and Prizes Manager and key member of the National Events team at the Australian Institute of Architects, Caitlin managed the portfolio and delivery of nine National Prize programs as well as the highly esteemed National Architecture Awards, and delivered numerous National and local events across Australia.

She is also the copywriter for the Marketing Team, providing content, written copy and editing support for programs and campaigns.Caitlin produces the National 'ENGage' and 'study brEAk' electronic newsletters for the membership base and coordinates the National Primary School outreach program, EngQuest. The program aims to raise the profile of the engineer and engineering teams and to promote the important role that the engineering profession has in society.
