As counsel to the Committees on Aging, Veterans, and Housing & Buildings, I engaged directly with Council Members, the Mayor's Office, advocacy organizations, constituents, and other stakeholders to research and develop local laws and public policy initiatives in response to issues facing seniors, veterans, and other New York residents, and helped to shepherd those laws and initiatives through the City's legislative and regulatory process.

I was a litigator in the Boston and New York offices of a mid-size corporate law firm with experience in state and federal court, arbitration, and internal investigations. I specialized in lawsuits involving the foreign sovereign immunities act and was part of the team that submitted amicus briefs to the U.S. Supreme Court on behalf of a national LGBTQ nonprofit organization in support of marriage equality.

I spent the summer after my second year of law school working at a mid-size corporate law firm, assisting all departments (litigation, corporate, real estate and tax) with legal research and writing, trial preparation and assistance during trial, and other legal projects.
