Responsible for the development process for each operating division as well as the development of company-wide documentation including process flow charts, Standardized Operating Procedures, and Process Summaries. Worked to bridge gaps between different business divisions and streamline processes and workflows including the handling of accidents, dispatching loads, and financial billing practices.

Responsible for procedure development and Standard Operations Procedures as well as process documentation for the entire department. Supervised the operation of 18 school kitchens with 60-plus kitchen employees as well as two Training Specialists. Supervised a three-year project to review and redevelopment department’s Standard Operating Procedure process. Implemented and supervised the Process Documentation for the entire department. Developed business plans and menus for two high school coffee shops that appealed to high school clientele. Developed and implemented a bi-annual Manager Training Program for potential managers in the department. Implemented the Horizon One Source computer system for Meal Benefit application processes, Point of Sale, Inventory, Recipes, and Menus.

Major responsibilities include solely ensuring federal and state regulations are met for the child nutrition programs for 25 charter schools, evaluating the nutrition department budget to cover administrative costs, developing formal bids for food procurement with food vendors and food service management companies, and analyzing several self-operational schools’ menus for meal pattern compliance.

Major responsibilities include maintaining computer systems responsible for running the child nutrition programs, and handling claim submissions for state and federal reimbursement. Special responsibilities include administering the free and reduced application processes including developing the application form, maintaining the database system, processing applications, and answering parent/school’s questions. Special accomplishments include developing materials and Charter School Institute standards for implementing At-Risk Supper Program through Child and Adult Food Program, creating a Child Nutrition Handbook to communicate rules and regulations, and implementing online submissions and training environment for staff. Developed materials for online trainings for all school nutrition contacts specific to their program setup.

Major responsibilities included assisted director and coordinators in effectively managing 50 schools food service programs, aiding the Assistant Director with special projects, and performing menu planning and analysis. Special responsibilities included managing, hiring, and training kitchen staff. Specific accomplishments include supporting the process of taking over the kitchen at Pickens Technical College. Supported the Incident Response Team during the aftermath of the Aurora theater shootings with organizing and preparing food to feed the Incident Response Team, processing food donations, and provided general support to the Director and other Field Supervisors. Supervised the kitchens in six schools and developed material for training classes for all food service staff.

Served large and small events as server, bartender, and behind the scenes production. Daily duties included helping ensure that orders were packed and deliveries were made on time, as well as keeping the office organized and clean. Gained experience in a professional kitchen particularly with food safety and preparation. Consulted other employees on the food requirements of patrons with special dietary needs. Became skilled at developing rapport with customers and how to deal with demanding customers who were sometimes stressed or unpleasant.
