After beginning at Urban Teachers as the Recruitment & Onboarding Specialist in September of 2018, Caitlin planned, implemented, and managed a full cycle of recruiting in addition to cultivation and onboarding responsibilities. In August of 2019, the Recrtuitment & Onboarding Specialist position was split into two positions and so Caitlin grew into the role of Resident Onboarding Specialist. Responsibilities of the Resident Onboarding Specialist include the following:- Onboarding all incoming Residents for the Urban Teachers DC program- Cultivating all incoming Residents for the Urban Teachers DC program- Managing interview processes for candidates of the Urban Teachers program- Planning and implementation of the Resident Placement Process; placing 140-160 Residents in 110 schools across DC (in both DCPS and public charter schools)

As the HER Place House Manager, Caitlin was committed to meeting the needs of young women experiencing homelessness in innovative ways. Caitlin ensured the overall safety, security and well-being of the young women living at HER Place. Caitlin delivered comprehensive, clinical case management services to participants living in HER transitional housing. Caitlin hired and supervised House Monitors and coordinated the required 24/7 staff coverage of the house. As the HER Place House Manager, Caitlin also ensured that all residential activities are documented and communicated as required by agency policy and procedure.Caitlin was also a part of the Street Outreach Team at HER Resiliency Center. Caitlin transitioned out of HER after 10 months due to loss of funding, as a new nonprofit organization.
