Senior Conservator responsible for all aspects of project management and treatment implementation, including conservation treatments, conservation research, testing, and analysis, oversight of sub-contractors and technicians, survey and condition assessments, preparation of reports, on- and off-site conservation services.

Assisted the Graduate Program in Historic Preservation with on-going projects, lecture series, and laboratory work. Tasks include cutting stone, organizing the pigment collection, and digitizing conditions surveys in AutoCAD for Spruce Tree House in Mesa Verde National Park. Spent four weeks in Colorado conducting condition assessments of puebloan kivas.

Undertook an independent study as an intern for the Ename Expertisecentrum voor Erfgoedontsluiting vzw (Ename Center for Public Archaeology and Heritage Presentation) through the US/ICOMOS International Exchange Program in historic preservation. Gained international training and hands-on experience managing a project in Ename, Belgium. Work focused on.

Spent three weeks cleaning and recording wall paintings in la Capilla de Nuestra Señora del Rosario in la Iglesia San José in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Tasks included paint sampling, field drawings, photography, mechanical cleaning, chemical consolidation, and strappo removal. The project provided a basis for thesis research into the use of ion exchange.

Conserving, maintaining, and repairing Fairmount Park’s historic buildings as a work-study intern. Duties include deglazing windows, repairing shutters, painting doorways, graffiti removal, exterior architectural cleaning, and interior finishes analysis.

Awarded the Annie Flemming Smith Scholarship in Historic Preservation. Worked twelve hours a week at the eighteenth-century mansion. Tasks included cleaning, documentation, and reattachment of plaster ceiling decoration. Also responsible for cataloging of architectural collections, creation of photographic documentation in Adobe Photoshop, whitewashing.

Through the Historic Preservation & Museum Studies Internship Program, worked for ten weeks as a paid historic preservation intern in the Jekyll Island Club National Historic Landmark District. Worked on wooden cupola columns, removing paint, consolidating, sealing, puttying, sanding, and priming. Also, repointed brick pier foundations with lime mortar.

As Research Assistant compiled table of contents for next edition of book. Worked with microfilm, scanned, edited, and printed copies of letters. Additional tasks included transcribing nineteenth-century handwritten letters into computer files and researching chain of title for a former property of James Monroe.

As Therapist taught basic life skills to autistic child through daily exercises. Worked to socialize child to persons outside of family.

Studied preservation techniques overseas. Gained experience in measured drawings and photo documentation. Designed and presented exhibition as part of this academic program.
