I originally began tutoring for my university after being recommended by my calculus professor to tutor my peers in calculus. As I have always viewed math as a rather painful obligation rather than a pleasant field of study, I transitioned my role and eventually became a tutor for Spanish courses ranging from beginner level to advanced.

Interned within North America Operations with the responsibility of acting on three primary objectives: diversity initiatives, education, and employee engagement. I was the go-to person in the creation and execution of employee programs relating to these three objectives, responsible for everything from proposing a new model for the 2010 diversity education week to SAP’s North America Diversity Action Council to drafting and sending regular campus-wide internal communications to arranging for special training workshops and speaker series. My biggest “win” from this position was the ability to leverage influence and persuade colleagues to act on my initiatives, although they might not fall under their own list of priorities.
