I hold a bachelor’s degree in elementary education (PK-4) and a minor in human development and family studies. While working towards my undergraduate degree, I have gained extensive experience through various field studies. Including working with pre-K students, and teaching kindergarten and 3rd grade. I was fortunate to participate in Penn State Harrisburg's student teaching residency program, where I student-taught throughout the entire school year. During this time, I developed lesson plans for all subject areas, enhanced my classroom management skills, and explored effective learning tools to support students.I currently work at Pennon Education as their Elementary Education Program Coordinator, where I create STEM and inquiry-based lesson plans, using the brand new STEELS standards. I design educational community events, and develop learning stations that align with Pennsylvania state standards. I also guest-teach in schools as part of our educational program, providing teachers and students with valuable resources and books. Additionally, I am pursuing my master’s degree in Language and Literacy and working toward my ESL certification at Millersville University. My passion for education and literacy continues to grow as I work toward becoming an ESL specialist.
