MindWise is a design studio for meaningful XR. I use immersive storytelling, UX design, and mindfulness to create experiences that amplify impact, bringing people back to humanity through connection. I'm an author, keynote speaker, and VR experience designer and developer. Curiosity-driven, I actively incorporate research in creativity, neuroscience, design thinking, technology, communication and media to promote compassionate, empathetic connections at local and global scale.My organization MindWise focuses on creating experiences that increase awareness, emotional intelligence and breakthrough ways to collaborate and express human ingenuity. My 2019 book, "Mindful by Design," relates to curiosity-driven learning, designer mindset, innovation, emotional intelligence, and adaptive resilience. I authored "Designing Wonder: Leading Transformative Experiences in VR" in 2020, helping integrate best design practices into social virtual reality that amplifies wonder and awe.

I teach "Digital Wellbeing: Healthy Relationships with Technology, " focused on developing mindful strategies for incorporating technology into life design in a way that meets our goals, our passions, our sense of purpose, and our overall wellbeing. This is a transdisciplinary course that looks at the heart of what it means to be human in this day and age, integrating technology and paying attention to how we inform and navigate new terrain with a sense of presence and wonder.

Modern wisdom and leadership is critical, and involves the ability to choose the most meaningful course of action, based on a deep understanding of the relationships between nature, society, and self.We founded the Center of Wise Leadership to enable leaders to act with authentic intentions and insights, with curiosity and awareness, so that:• Personal success connects with joy and meaning• Effectiveness of individuals, teams, and organizations increases• The well-being of all stakeholders is taken into account • Community and individuals feel more engaged with work experiences• Metrics for happiness, success and wellbeing connect

I work to advance the imagination, insight and ingenuity that distinguishes Virtual World Society as a leader in the field of ethical use of immersive technology. VWS was founded by Dr. Tom Furness, known as the "Grandfather of VR."VWS' mission is to harness the best attributes of modern technology and innovation to enhance learning, raise understanding and create a framework for how to connect, learn together, and meet emerging societal needs.My work centers on advising VWS in program development, experience design, and strengthening key relationships with partners, allies, leaders and community members in a global network that advances the field of virtual reality.

As a subject-matter expert in mindfulness and VR, I supported Limbix in its mission "to improve healthcare with virtual reality." Applying research, expertise, and creative applications, I design experiences dedicated to improving mindsets, emotional resilience, and approaches to stress, anxiety and overall well-being.

Serving as advisor to the SwissCognitive Global Ambassador Program, emphasizing the spirit of collaboration, curiosity and connection, with ideas fueling #AIforGood and #SwarmIntelligence initiatives across industries, sectors, cultures and continents. What does this look like in practice, and how can we share and learn from each other? What questions are coming in the near future in the scope of AI related developments, and how can we position ourselves to meet those needs, in the context of an AI enriched landscape? I provide support in this venture, as a key advisor on the project with expertise about global AI initiatives and the stories that link humans driving AI projects.

As Speaker Curator and Coach, my number one goal is to help to make TEDxLugano the ultimate engaging, impactful experience for all involved. I’m a passionate global speaker and coach, focused on bringing people back to humanity through connection, living the motto of daring greatly, with open mind, heart and will.The 2017 TEDxLugano theme is "Professions of the Future", creating a universal platform for speakers from all over the world to share big ideas about our future jobs -- professions that maximize our human potential while embracing applied innovation and automation, from AI, robotics and blockchain to hacking health and well-being.This brave new job landscape is as complex as it is compelling. The main question we might be asking ourselves is, How can we ensure that we greet this rise in automation with equanimity, looking to develop and enhance the skills necessary to meet key demands, serving social good? There are certainly many possibilities, and it’s an exciting time to be human.
