Plum began as an extraordinary idea in 2012 to commercialize the extensive body of academic research in Industrial-Organizational Psychology to help companies reveal people’s true potential. In 2015, Plum officially launched their own IP and platform, starting as a pre-employment assessment for SMBs. In 2017, they began winning deals in the enterprise space, and integrated with SAP SuccessFactors in 2018. As they acquired more enterprise customers, they soon realized that their true competitive advantage was in enterprise talent management. Plum raised a $4.2M Seed round in October 2019 (just months before the COVID-19 pandemic hit) and subsequently built a brand new talent management platform that launched in October 2020. Plum’s AI-driven talent management platform is the single source of truth for human potential and enables enterprises to optimize talent decisions for their entire workforce. It allows them to identify all the potential in their organization, develop that potential for future roles, and match potential to opportunities to accomplish new business objectives. In just six months since launching the new platform, Plum has already won multi-year enterprise deals that include international rollouts with the likes of Sitel, Whirlpool, and a top 5 US Bank. With this strong momentum, Plum is solving new problems for a new target audience in the enterprise talent management space, and is ready to scale to the next level.

I was responsible for starting up and running the new US head office. ST4 Learning DBA goQ is a the US Distributor of WordQ and SpeakQ software. The Canadian sister company, Strategic Transitions Inc., has been responsible for Global distribution. Opening up our first US office has allowed us to work with our US customers from within their own country. I managed the re-branding, website creation and PR.WordQ and SpeakQ software is an easy-to-master writing tool for all ages and abilities. It assists with spelling, grammar, punctuation, and proofreading so grades and self-confidence lost to mechanical mistakes are recaptured. At the same time, writing, clarity and independence are enhanced. Our software and expertise supports students, teachers, parents and individuals from all walks of life, including mainstream and special education, in academic, personal, business, and professional environments.

Admittedly it wasn't a job, although it at times felt like it. It was certainly major experience!

As Me to We Styles first employee I was responsible for helping create the company from scratch. As Director of Operations I set up the entire supply chain and created our clothing line. I was responsible for making sure our customers orders were fulfilled correctly and on time.Me to We Style is a new social enterprise that is committed to providing ethically manufactured, quality apparel for the socially-conscious consumer. Our product line is domestically produced, sweatshop-free and made using certified organic cotton and viscose from bamboo.In addition, 50 per cent of our profit goes to our charity partner, Free The Children, to support development projects in rural and impoverished areas across the globe.Me to We Style is run by co-founder Oliver Madison and works closely with world renowned social activists and advisors Craig and Marc Kielburger. Craig and Marc Kielburger, through their work with Free The Children and Leaders Today, have led more than one million young people, schools and corporations to take action on issues across the globe. Over the years, thousands of these individuals have asked Craig and Marc where to find products that meet their environmental and social standards. Me to We Style was created in response to this demand.

I taught 1st year college students English in Northern China. Lambton College of Sarnia, Ontario, Canada has a campus in Changchun, China. I also taught at couple of times a week at a local Chinese High School my first semester.
