Booked high volumes of guests all with different needs and stay durations. The mission was to make every member feel valued with our offerings and local area. Not only did I assist in making reservations and taking the proper steps of checking a person in/out, I effectively worked with other departments to make sure the day-to-day operations ran smoothly.

Opening and closing operations duties included/not limited to: preparing, cleaning, setting up equipment for the day, processing business transactions, etc. Helped participants of all ages and experience levels navigate what to see during tours with instruction or would lead a quick lesson on the ground before getting out on the water. These lessons included valuable knowledge such as routes to take depending on tides and wind, how to wear your lifejacket, holding and use of the paddle, etc. I made sure that groups had a great time out on the water while practicing and recognizing the proper safety regulations of the waterways.

Within this internship, I organized and planned the 2019 Street Fair which takes place in Wilmington, NC every Spring. This event brings in between 200,000-300,000 people each year to showcase the historic area and local gardens. My tasks varied from answering simple phone calls/emails, to setting up schedules for everyone performing, helping vendors with their questions/verifying booth information, to bigger tasks such as setting up and being onsite to run and facilitate in the "2019 Azalea Festival Street Fair," during the weekend of April 5th-7th, 2019.
