I am enrolled as a Public Health major at San Diego State University. I previously graduated from City College of San Francisco, earning an associate's degree in Public Health Science, Health Education, Science and Mathematics, and Social and Behavioral Sciences. My professional experience includes working at a Walgreens pharmacy, where I served as a pharmacy cashier and designated hitter. I handled prescription and vaccination processing in this role, assisted customers with their medications and insurance billing, and managed medication organization and stocking. I also worked as a medical receptionist at Women's Health Group. As a medical receptionist, I played a key role in patient outreach, reviewed insurance coverage, prepared patient charts, completed requisition forms for lab specimens, and transcribed doctor's notes following patient visits. Through these positions, I developed proficiency in utilizing Electronic Health Records, and Intercom Plus, as well as operating fax and copy machines. My experience, background, and skills will help me during my journey to pursuing a career in the medical field and healthcare.
