A creative mind has been one of my labels since early childhood. From naming every dinosaur in my large Rubbermaid tub-sized collection and drawing every animal I came across in the books I read, to applying gory special effects makeup for a college haunted house and painting a mural for a college-wide holiday dinner. It took me a long time to focus that creativity, and having that broad range of like and interests made it hard to really settle on one field, but having been raised to dream big and take on leadership, I really feel that I would best utilize those skills in the field of Public Relations. I’m a wonderful team player and natural leader and love to constantly learn new things. I pick up new programs and topics with ease, and working in a market that can be very blended, I chose to pursue Communications, Journalism, and Business in my degree to give myself a deeper understanding of all the working parts and very broad outlook so that I don’t become too hyper-focused. I’ll be graduating from the University of North Texas in May of 2021 with a degree that covers a broad range of skill sets, but that I have focused on fit my goals to work in the field of Consumer Public Relations, with a focus in digital and social media. During my time at the University of North Texas, I have had many opportunities to expand upon my skills including,• Being awarded a tour of Moroch Partners for my teams Media Plan for Six Flags Theme Parks• Holding a position as Graphic Design officer to create notices and flyers for my club.• Working with Bruce Hall Interns to create and market student events.I hope to implement the skills I have gained from not only the work I have done but from the technical skills I have been taught in my classes, into a fulfilling and long career.I will be applying to an ALT position to teach English in Japan. After which I hope to work for a global public relations firm in the Tokyo area.
