At John Snow every day offered something different, from growing the college’s social media, to reviewing analytics and directing a whole advert campaign.I developed multichannel communications strategies to widen the John Snow brand to prospective and current students creating ‘buy-ins’ and using student insight to drive decision-making processes.Enhancing the Alumni sector of the college through thorough research into the history of the college and connecting with past students to build a consolidated group, was also a top priority of the team during my role which I consistently contributed to.My favourite and most rewarding project from this job was co-writing, producing and directing an advert for the college called ‘We’ve Got It’ highlighting the key elements of our brand in the John Snow way.

As a Freshers' Week Representative at John Snow College, I played a key role in welcoming and integrating over 500 new students into the college community here at Durham University. I collaborated with a team of 40 FREPs and WREPS and the Junior Common Room to execute engaging events, information sessions, and social activities, ensuring a smooth and memorable transition for freshers after being away from home for the first time. Fostering a sense of belonging in our community.During my second year I have also undertaken the role of Winter Ball Executive Entertainment Planner. Combining my organisational skills and passion for the college I aimed to create the best experience possible for the student community. I secured the participation of local performers and aligned target audience interest to book entertainments which followed people's desires.

Wanting to invest in the community in which I live in , I combined my past experience in Marketing with my passion for fashion into my role as Promotional & Communications Officer for John Snow Charity Fashion Show. Collaborating as part of the media team, I have introduced multi-channel promotion methods, increasing our reach to over 10,000 new students.

During my summer internship at the B2B, I captured high-quality images of products, packaging solutions, and company practices. Gaining experience in editing and processing photos to meet company standards and style guidelines.Researched and wrote engaging blog posts on company news, and product features including optimized blog content for SEO. Alongside this, I assisted with the development and execution of marketing campaigns. Supported the creation of marketing materials, such as brochures, flyers, and presentations for clients.Working on the Wessex branding also helped to engage with the client-facing side of the business conducting market research and competitor analysis to strengthen our CMS.

During my time in my temporary Christmas role I developed and evolved my interpersonal skills embracing the opportunity to work closely with a diverse team of colleagues alongside being a student. I learnt how to enhance the customer experience through creating a welcoming and familiar atmosphere which aligned with the brand beliefs to cultivate high levels of satisfaction within our store. Being in retail I developed an even stronger work ethic where customer concerns were promptly and effectively dealt with to create a positive customer experience. I endeavor to take the personal and career experience I learnt from Marks and Spencer as a fundamental basis to elevate and synergise with teams in the future
