CurrentEntering the hospital as a Research Administrator and progressing to Operations Director, I led the charge in the development and expansion of the B.R.A.I.N. (Boston Research, Academics & Innovation in Neurosurgery) Program to align research and academic operations with clinical objectives and continue bolstering the Neurosurgery department in the healthcare/research landscape. I built up and lead a team of 50+ with oversight of all short- and long-term planning, strategic forecasting, and program management. I interface with department leadership, physicians, and scientists; surface opportunities for change and advancement; fuel data-driven environments; and drive clinically adjacent activities.✓ Launched quarterly newsletter – reaching 150+ people across the hospital – to highlight academic activities while breaking down internal silos and lowering duplicated efforts through increased transparency. ✓ Spearheaded first-ever academic and clinical accomplishment report to showcase and catalog.✓ Championed department dashboard on Smartsheet to provide real-time academic and clinical metrics. ✓ Created and introduced financial reports to heighten management of $20M in funding by monitoring spending rates, forecasting future funding, and optimizing the utilization of philanthropic funds.✓ Guided 2 large and complex external reviews, including Harvard Medical School Review, leading as primary contact, building all slide decks, and authoring formal write-ups to showcase academic rigor of the program. ✓ Advanced internal culture – scoring in 98th percentile for Leadership Index on Press Ganey employee survey – with solid succession planning and performance management practices.
