I am a second year undergraduate Psychology student at The University of Manchester seeking opportunities to grow and develop my social skills; in doing so i am eager to gain as much practical insight into my course. I am delighted at the possibility to utilise my knowledge and skills gained from my time at university and experience working across primary schools in Manchester. My studies have begun to allow me to explore the variety of therapy and theories that can be applied to benefit individuals in their developing life. Within my time at university, I have gained work experience within primary schools assisting in KS1 and KS2 classrooms and working as a SEN TA in EYFS to gain hands on experience and insight into possible career paths. I am enthralled by the prospect of continuing to work with young people to propel them into a brighter, more supported future. A further opportunity i received was becoming manager within my place of work at The Honest Lawyer Restaurant at 17 years old, previous to moving to Manchester to follow out my studies. This was a great responsibility, where i developed key skills. Such skills involved communication, time management, organisational skills, financial skills, leadership skills and the list goes on, which have all come together to build on my confidence to work effectively with many different age groups and types of people.
