Being store manager for Clarity was one of my most beloved jobs. I had the pleasure of interacting with customers daily and teaching people consumption methods and differences between our vast product lines. My passion for consumer understanding and profit maximization was able to shine with this role. I truly loved mentoring the staff and creating teachable moments for them each day. We worked together as a team to minimize miss sales and create systems that worked for faster product selection, easier order packing and error checking on delivery orders. My love for analytics and inventory control was able to be used daily for tasks like banking deposits, daily sales summaries, inventory reporting, ordering and procuring through the BCLDB and other suppliers. Working with sales reps from all the various companies sold in B.C. was also a highlight as I was able to give environmental feedback to reduce waste and packaging sizes for many of the suppliers thus reducing their footprint and saving them money on packaging while keeping our stock room more organized with smaller master cases and less cardboard going to the recycling each week.
