Responsible for managing all aspects of three diverse operational programs within the Public Works and Development Department: Zoning, Animal Services, and Weed Control. Establishes the vision, goals/priorities, and strategic direction of all assigned program areas. Oversees personnel needs, financial assessment and planning, strategic initiative implementation, and technology related development for the aforementioned programs. Serving as a strategic and key public-facing leader of Arapahoe County, is the primary decision-making authority on all requests for interpretations of the use provisions of the Arapahoe County Land Development Code. Serves Arapahoe County as a subject matter expert in assigned areas and represents the County and PWD on boards, committees, task forces, during public gatherings and community outreach, and involving special projects. Establishes effective relationships with a range of stakeholders, to represent ideas, engage in meaningful debate, and incorporate ideas and concerns of others. Collaborates with internal and external partners to better meet the needs of residents and ensure positive working relationships are maintained throughout various areas of government.

Managed all aspects of the Animal Control program to include day to day staff oversight, operational efficiency, and budget and asset management. Established effective relationships with the Courts, District Attorney’s Office, and other local agencies to ensure services available to Arapahoe County communities prioritized health, safety and quality of life. Served Arapahoe County as a Bureau of Animal Protection agent, ensuring thorough investigations of statutory level violations of the animal cruelty and dangerous dog statutes.
