As a dynamic Wake Forest University sophomore student, and 2027 School of Business, Bachelor of Science in Business and Enterprise Management candidate, I am actively engaged in a variety of campus, athletics & volunteer leadership activities. These intentionally chosen leadership endeavors have holistically fueled my interest, learning & growth in journalism/digital communications, content strategy, community-building, and competitive tennis training alongside my pre-business track classes, and focus in Marketing and Interdisciplinary Writing. Specifically, this past fall, I joined The Old Gold & Black student newspaper as a contributing news writer, which has enabled me to take initiative by selecting topics, conducting interviews, and producing well-researched articles, including coverage of major campus events. One of my proudest published pieces to-date was coverage of the high-profile Face To Face Forum event at LJVM Coliseum featuring Peyton Manning, which enhanced my journalistic experience and storytelling skills. In addition to this role, I am a member of Wake Forest's Division 1 Club Tennis program, which allows me to stay engaged in athletics and build connections with fellow students. Furthermore, I'm actively involved in Greek life, serving as Social Media Co-Director & Content Strategist for Kappa Beta Gamma by creating graphics, videos, and promotional content that highlight our chapter’s initiatives and events. I have also taken on the role of Digital Communications lead for WFUStyle, a campus startup, contributing to content creation and fashion, beauty & lifestyle writing. This past summer, I had the amazing learning opportunity to intern at NYC-based structured credit-focused buy side Investment Management firm Axonic Capital, where I rotated across Investor Relations (IR), Investments & Finance functions for exposure, training, and day-to-day workflow projects related to client communications regarding financial markets shifts; investor & structured credit product offerings strategy; and internal financial management processes & financial statement reporting & analysis. I am currently seeking a 2025 financial analyst summer internship opportunity at a sell side investment bank, to learn about capital markets (ECM/DCM), Corporate Finance/M&A, Sales & Trading, and Equity Research as well as corporate investor relations functions. I'm eager to build my financial services & cross-sector professional network, so please InMail me directly or connect via email, caitlynewall@gmail.com.
