About Caitlyn Georgeson

I am a Senior Legal Officer in the Office of International Law at the Attorney General's Department, with a focus on international security, criminal and diplomatic law. Previously, I worked on a range of business and human rights, modern slavery, employment and government advisory matters at large commercial law firms.I was awarded a 2022 Westpac Future Leaders Scholarship to undertake a Master of Public and International Law at the University of Melbourne. My undergraduate honours thesis on the intersection of international humanitarian law, international human rights law and international space law, for which I received the John Perry Prize for International Law, was published in December 2020.I have been involved in a range of charitable and community organisations in leadership, advocacy and research roles. I am currently a Non-Executive Director at The Pinnacle Foundation, a national charity that provides educational scholarships, mentoring and opportunities for young LGBTIQ+ Australians.
