I graduated from SCAD with a BFA in Game Design with a focus in environmental art. During my time in college I got hands on experience with working in agile teams and taking a product from concept to completion, and I furthered my experience with my internship with Volvo Cars and subsequent position as a 3D model developer. My experiences have lead me to be quick on my feet with iterating on ideas and testing new pipelines for product development.

Associate Art ProducerRec Room May 2022 - PresentSeattle, Washington, United States -
Surface DesignerVolvo Cars Aug 2020 - May 2022Camarillo, California, United StatesIn this role, I worked closely with the aerodynamic engineering department to develop the current aerodynamic modeling practice used in the Volvo Sweden office. I applied exceptional knowledge of 3D polygon modeling to the team for fast iterations on pre-production models and post-production models, such as speedforms for 3D printing as well as environment design for VR applications. I took on additional responsibilities of Alias modeling on top of polygon modeling done to feel out volume and initial design, including: alias model of the rear of a potential next generation XC90, alias full car for an unannounced project, alias detail work for next generation XC60, alias alternative front for an unannounced project, a full alias model of an intern proposal and most recently working on the head and taillamps for the next generation XC90. I've also had the opportunity to work over both interior and exterior modeling projects at various stages of development. -
3D Model DeveloperVolvo Cars Oct 2019 - Aug 2020Sunnyvale, California, United StatesAt this position I have applied my exceptional understanding of form, design and structure regarding modeling to the team. I collaborated with the design departments to make sure we met the highest visual quality and run-time standards for AR assets as well as assets for use on the web. I worked with software engineers to implement and optimize the 3D framework for implementation of reusable 3D assets. Our team collaborated with corporate partners such as Google and Unity Technologies to incorporate their technologies into customer facing projects. Our team's work was also featured in the New York Times Magazine (Music Issue) on March 15, 2020 with a spread featuring the Google Lens capability. -
3D Model DeveloperVolvo Cars Aug 2019 - Oct 2019Sunnyvale, California, United StatesAfter my 10 week internship I was extended as a contractor where I continued to work closely with the content development team to make sure that the optimized models stayed at a low polygon count while capturing the quality of the original model. My role also began to move towards a more technical position, I started to be more involved in the technical aspects of my team's work and learned minor scripting in Python to allow for me to streamline my workflow. I also worked over the vehicles previously available on Google AR for Volvo, which include the 2020 XC90, XC60 and XC40 Recharge. The Google Search AR experience is available in the US and EMEA. This experience has since been updated to a higher fidelity model with the 2021 models. -
Technical InternVolvo Cars Jun 2019 - Aug 2019Sunnyvale, CaliforniaAs an intern I prepared models for AR/VR application. This included working with partners to define what the ideal polygon limit would be for the models to be run on a phone, learning new processes and software like InstaLOD to be able to produce a clean and optimized model. The models I would work with started in the 10s of millions of polygons and by the end result were down just about 100k polygons for a smooth AR experience on modern mobile devices. -
Lead InstructorId Tech Camps Jun 2018 - Jul 2018Davidson, North CarolinaAs a lead instructor I took on more responsibilities than just teaching students. I was the second in command to the location director and was in charge of medications, students safety, and handling parents who would call with questions when the director was away. I also played a role in mentoring not only the students, but my coworkers as well. All the instructors at this location were new this year so it was a part of my role to get them prepared to teach and offer help when they were struggling. As for teaching, it was a six week program where each week I was teaching students about game design and development, mostly with Unreal Engine and one week of GameMaker Studio 2. With Unreal I taught the students about the basics of level layout and design, what makes games fun and how to use visual story telling to guide the players along. I also helped students who were interested in both simple and high-level programming of game mechanics to help their games have more features than just level layout. -
InstructorId Tech Camps Jun 2017 - Jul 2017Raleigh, North CarolinaI worked with teens for a week at a time for seven weeks to help teach them about level design and development with Autodesk Maya, Adobe Photoshop and Unreal Engine. I taught them about asset creation and importation to Unreal, how to use the engine to make small-scale levels that could be worked with further to create full-scale game levels. Furthermore I taught them basic code with Unreal's in-house language of Blueprints to allow the campers to have game mechanics in their levels. -
InstructorId Tech Camps Jun 2016 - Jul 2016Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina AreaI worked with teens and preteens (10-17) for a week a time for five weeks teaching them about level design and asset creation using different programs like Autodesk Maya and the Torchlight II modding kit. The campers would use these programs to make small-scale levels and models to get a feel for what it's like on the development side of the games they play. -
WaitressSonic Drive-In May 2014 - Sep 2015Burlington, North CarolinaI worked as a waitress/carhop where I interacted with customers for everything from a simple order to dealing with upset customers so the situation did not escalate. I learned how to work in a team environment where communication to get tasks done in a timely manner is key. Towards the end of my employment I was in charge of training new recruits.
