Organized and executed conservation volunteer opportunities for the community through collaboration with biologists and experts. Assisted in habitat restoration projects with partnering agencies. Tracked and monitored wild horse and burro demographics using VHF and GPS transmitters in southern Utah. Trained volunteers in identifying animal behavior, telemetry, off-road driving, and other established procedures. Hiked across rugged terrain in winter conditions. Identified 100+ individual horses and burros by sight. Worked in remote locations both alone and with a volunteer in winter conditions. Maintained and deployed trail cameras.

Surveyed and characterized vegetation structure on CRP and SAFE fields for potential habitat for sharp-tail grouse. Identified forb and grass species common to mesic sagebrush steppe. Assisted in wetland revegetation restoration activities.
