The Filipino American Educators of Washington (FAEW) was awarded a grant to support the Retaining, Advancing, Cultivating, and Empowering educators (RACE) Program through the Department of Education and Early Learning (DEEL). This program aims to create an educator cohort that will engage in a monthly professional development that will prepare them to implement the Filipinx American History Curriculum in their schools or programs, create culturally relevant lessons and activities, and incorporate social/emotional learning.
