I am a trauma survivor, a 500-hour RYT yoga teacher, and a certified mindfulness practitioner. As a Mindfulness practitioner at Support for Survivors Charity, I provide mindfulness-based interventions to individuals navigating the complexities of trauma recovery. Holocaust survivor and psychologist Dr. Edith Eger once said, "It is not about what happened to you, but what you do with your experience." This philosophy deeply resonates with me, inspiring my mission to transform my suffering into a means of helping others. At 33, I made the decision to change careers and return to university, driven by a commitment to discovering the most effective treatments for mental health disorders while serving as a living example of resilience and hope. My ultimate goal is to contribute to the field as both a practitioner and an advocate, demonstrating that recovery is possible even in the face of profound adversity.
