As an intern with the Space Force's Chief Technology and Innovation Office, I have helped shift the Space Force into a digital force by bringing in new ideas and revamping old processes. For example, I worked with Natural Language Processing to test and modify an algorithm to match resumes to various job descriptions. Working with Optical Character Recognition, I was able to create a script to convert images of resumes into text files. Using UiPath, I created Robotic Process Automations to reduce the number of redundant tasks in the office such as filling out spreadsheets and downloading resumes from a repository. I used Value Stream Mapping to analyze the internal briefing process of the department, identify pain points, and ways the process could be changed to alleviate issues and increase the value provided by the briefing process. What was especially transformative to me was meeting with various other government organizations to discuss the future of Artificial Intelligence within the government and the effects it will have as well as how it can be best taken advantage of. This experience was invaluable to me, I made meaningful contributions to our mission by bringing fresh ideas, leadership, and an unrivaled motivation to make a real difference.

Worked and helped manage a team of students who handled IT for the Department of Mathematics. Used jamf for remote management as well as maintaining inventory of over 2400 devices. Provided remote and in person support to faculty and staff on Mac and Linux machines. Aided in the transition to online in the wake of the Coronavirus pandemic in both training professors on online softwares as well as plans for providing remote support.

Legal Aid is a non-profit law firm that serves the needs of people all over the state of North Carolina. I had the pleasure of working with their IT department in Data Base management through Active Directory, imaging deploying and maintaining their assets, as well as negotiating the contract for the secure disposal of 800+ hard drives. This is in conjunction with the daily IT support tasks required to keep the firm operational.
