The Trenton Public Schools District underwent a reorganization process to alleviate overcrowding in elementary schools. As a result, Hedgepeth/Williams Middle School of the Arts’ name got changed to Hedgepeth/Williams Intermediate School (Grades 4 – 6). Ms. Harrell owns and operates a company dedicated to providing financial assistance to new and existing theatre companies and organizations benefiting the performing arts industry. She is heavily involved with Broadway Cares / Equity Fights AIDs, The Actors Fund, and The American Theatre Wing.

Ms. Harrell is the founding teacher who launched the program from scratch. She writes Introduction to Theatre Arts, Advanced Acting, Film & Television, and Musical Theatre curriculums, encouraging students to voice high interest in pursuing additional training at high school and vocational school levels. She writes proposals for collaboration with McCarter Theatre and the Passage Theatre Company (AEA unionized) on curriculum design and professional development opportunities. She was assigned to Walt Disney Special Events as Production Assistant for MFA Internship during Winter Quarter and invited to remain on the team through Spring Quarter in 2005. She began her tenure as a Character Performer based at Magic Kingdom, working through the ranks to Entertainment Captain for all four theme parks.
