Ever since I was a child I have always been prone to injuries. Whether it be sprains, strains, tendonitis, or even broken bones I couldn't seem to escape them. It turns out I have a genetic condition called Ehlers Danlos Syndrome (type 3) that causes my connective tissue to be less structurally supportive than normal. Although the diagnosis was initially discouraging, the amount I have had to learn about how my body works and the different workarounds to my condition has imbued a fascination of the human body and a desire to help others with their injuries.I am currently a second year kinesiology (exercise science) undergraduate at Cypress Community College and plan on transferring to Long Beach State next year to continue my bachelors degree. I am working towards becoming a physical therapist, and want to dip my toes in the metaphorical water early to get learn more about the field. Through observing and helping with patient's treatments, I want to gather as much experience and knowledge to help others.

  I primarily worked as a cart attendant who would collect the shopping carts from the parking lot, as well as clean restrooms and perform other janitorial tasks. I also picked up shifts working as a cashier or at the customer support desk.
