As an Urban Teachers alumnus and product of a rural Title I school, equity and cultural responsiveness are not just parts of the job, they’re personal. I have dedicated my career to improving college access and equity for marginalized students and the teachers who share their identity and are seeking to positively impact their community. I am a results-driven educator who specializes in educating the whole person, infusing social-emotional learning strategies into my teaching and coaching. Constantly reflecting, when I’m not in a school building, I enjoy reading the works of Dr. Marc Lamont Hill, bell hooks, and Bettina Love and refining my practice.
