With a persistent and keen curiosity in Public Health, I left the food service industry I had worked in for eight years to pursue a degree in Health Sciences. Always passionate about helping others succeed, I have consistently strived for positions where I can educate, first in management positions in professional kitchens and then as a peer-supported learning facilitator and English tutor at Langara College. I completed an eight-month internship with Simon Fraser University's Health Promotion team where I was able to practically apply my wealth of experience, education, and passion through a health promotion framework, and completed my BA in Health Sciences.
