As a 4th year student in the audiology program at the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities, I am dedicated to improving the quality of life for individuals with hearing loss. My passion for audiology comes from my love of precision and science, as well as my personal experiences with hearing loss as someone with congenital single-sided deafness. Within audiology, my interests include diagnostics, hearing aids, and tinnitus management. I am also always open to new learning opportunities and am eager to jump into new settings that challenge and broaden my horizons.Some of my academic achievements include a research project with the TRIO McNair Scholars Program in which I analyzed and communicated about disparities in hearing healthcare access in the state of Minnesota to communicate the need for telehealth options in 2019, as well as earning a graduate teaching assistantship appointment as part of the Provost’s Professional Education Diversity Fellowship. I have also served as a student clinician for approximately a year in total with Audiology Concepts and the Tinnitus & Hyperacusis Clinic, a premier private practice specializing in tinnitus management in the midwest. I am privileged to learn from the best tinnitus providers utilizing cutting edge technology and treatment techniques such as Tinnitus Retraining Therapy and Neuromod Lenire over the course of my externship.
