Professional numismatist with a passion for historically significant as well as more 'esoteric' items, and a particular focus on the coins of Europe during the Middle Ages (particularly the Carolingians) and the Islamic world (particular the Umayyad and early Abbasid caliphates). Extensive experience conducting numismatic research, writing on numismatic topics, and processing large collections, including:- Having assisted in cataloging over 30 major auctions, each regularly netting over $10 million in sales, including production of several auction catalogs that have been awarded the 'Catalog of the Year' Award from the Numismatic Literary Guild (NLG).- Possesses key skills in communicating and working with others as part of a team to balance tight auction production schedules and daily tasks of handling client inquiries, managing and building sales, and soliciting auction consignments.- Skills in processing and evaluating large coin collections using current market data and personal experience so as to maximize returns for clients and ensure the best customer experience possible.- Proficiency in conducting in-depth numismatic and historical research to provide both engaging and relevant information to the public, as well as to provide accurate attributions of all coin types that pass through our hands.
