Throughout high school I worked in restaurants until graduation and into community college. From dishwashing to serving to delivery and in every position, came a different discipline like people skills and efficiency. Looking for something new, I started working for the city of Muskegon in the parks department. There I worked with 10-15 other employees keeping the parks of Muskegon looking good, safe, and clean for the public. Most of my three summers with the parks department were spent working at and around Pere Marquette park. Working for the city was great, though I needed something more permanent. While in community college I started taking classes in welding and began to like it. Soon after I secured a full time position as a stainless steel welder with a local fabrication shop. There I found permanency as well as satisfaction from welding.
