As a design engineer with Methods Machine tools I worked closely with the company’s fledgling automation department to design cell layouts, end of arm tools, and fixtures for a variety of applications and a number of high profile clients.

As an engineering intern with Watts Water Technologies I developed preventative maintenance procedures for all production equipment. Working with the engineering and maintenance department I then assisted in the design of a scheduling, notification and cost-tracking program for use by the maintenance and financial departments. I also participated in several lean manufacturing initiatives in which a variety of operations and processes were made to be more efficient. I also participated in several Kaizen events for which I also redesigned several casting mounts to be used in production processes.

I designed and fabricated several parts for the school’s Yeti Arctic rover project. I was a counselor when the robotics lab hosted a day camp for local youth. I was sent to attend conferences at EasTEC and Creaform as a guest representative for the school. I would provide technical advice and support. I was responsible for machine and instrument maintenance as well as setting up and testing new instruments and machines.
