Sterling Stamping Plant – Press Room & Die Shop• Directed a Major Kaizen project: Single Minute Exchange of Dies (SMED) attacking over $400,000 loss annually• Lead change cohesively with skilled trades and management team members• Defined the focus area, stratified the losses, built a team, investigated and root caused several inefficiencies of die changeover from which I initiated over 28 Standard Kaizens. Of these 28 Kaizens, 4 are completed and the others are being acted on• Delivered presentations, commonly to Plant Managers and the Head of Stamping

-Developed and improved global die standards-Led a research project, publication, and select material was presented at GDIS 2010 - “The Dimensional Effect of Heat Treatment and Die Coating Processes on Die Inserts for Advanced High Strength Steel Applications”-Orchestrated supplier involvement and led purchasing negotiations-Formed partnerships with multiple suppliers and non-automotive companies to improve common stamping manufacturing processes
