I enjoy helping others and feeling like I am doing something worthwhile. I have an extensive background in customer service as well as 6 years experience working in youth corrections as a Group Life Coordinator where I was able to work directly with at risk youth. This included maintaining safety and security in a living unit within a correctional facility. This also included being a positive role model and mentor.After working in corrections, I then moved to working in Human Resources for a company that provides supports to individuals with developmental/intellectual disabilities. In this role, I primarily worked as an internal affairs investigator. This involved receiving reports of concern or potential abuse of clients. Depending on severity of findings, I would also provide coaching to support workers or issue disciplinary action leading up to termination if required.In my current role, I work in the same industry as a Licensing and Standards Facilitator. This involves reviewing support documents, risks and medical info for supported individuals to ensure supports are in line with Oregon Administrative Rules. This also includes conducting environmental reviews of homes provided to supported individuals to ensure living conditions are up to code and a safe environment.Outside of my work history, I am a respectful and fun loving, humorous person. I am very down to earth and non-judgmental. I enjoy learning and take criticism well.
