It was my last semester for chemical engineering in college. I was starting to feel doubts about my chosen education, perhaps due to the lack of interest I was receiving from hopeful employers. It's trite, but blessings really do seem to come in disguise. For whatever reason, I found myself in a multi-hour YouTube black hole of Arduino projects, so I bought one. I started out with the simple LED blinking projects, but gradually, the complexity of my electrical projects kept increasing. Eventually, as I kept gaining more knowledge I gained the confidence to build a drone. I have been obsessed with drones ever since, and a lot of my time has been spent learning the technical ins-and-outs of those flying robot things. From my accumulated DIY knowledge and experience, the Drone Dojo was created to help speed up the learning process for drone learners coming behind me. This was accomplished by creating structured courses about drone subjects including drone programming, drone building, precision landing, and drone delivery. We are excited to keep growing the dojo to support the advancement of the drone industry, by increasing the pool of capable drone engineers!As legislation keeps opening our skies to this new field, I am extremely excited to apply my knowledge towards innovating our skies with industrial applications of drones.
