I am a customer service specialist with 10 years experience in customer service. I carry this customer service to every role. I believe helping the customers find what they want and offer this service, keeps them coming back and wanting to spend money at our businesses, thus making more money and regulars. At the end of the day, paid advertisements can only do so much. The best form of advertising is word of mouth, like people telling their friends or coworkers about a killer cup of coffee they got, or how helpful their sales person was.I started as an entry level barista that soon moved into a shift lead and head trainer role. This is where I learned the importance of customer service and how it benefits everyone involved. As a barista making tips, I would see more tips, the company made more money, and the customer was happier. In times where a customer was frustrated, I would do my best to make things up to them and try to have them leave with a net positive experience. I took this to my non-food service jobs as well. As a tow truck driver, people were not happy to see us most of the time, but that left a lot of room to make the experience less negative. A few people even used the company I worked for for personal towing needs even after the negative experience. And this applies to my stint as a security officer. Tenants of the building were always happy to see a smiling face and would go out of their way to say hi. Even people I had to escort away or relocate didn't cause much of scene because I came from a place of respect for them as humans rather than just doing my job, and I believe that is what separates me from other customer service specialists. My last gig was at a coffee and wine bar with a specialty in corporate events. I wore many hats but notably I was an event coordinator and made the business a lot of money with my ideas on how to be more approachable for potential events and the friendly demeanor and respect for budgets made people constantly come back for more events. So if you need a human element in your business, and agree with my ideas, hit me up!
