Currently Supervisor for the Smart Environmental fleet collecting Auckland's Council Kerbside recycling and foodwaste wheelie bins. My primary focus is the dispatching of waste to various sites for our Bulk truck and trailer Units. This entails juggling different waste streams and allocating different units to consistently keep the waste bunkers empty. In my current role, I have also developed strong billing skills as the billing of my division falls primarily on myself. This came with challenges but I have learned a lot and now feel proficient in these tasks. I work closely alongside the accounting team and thus my fiance and numeracy skills are to a high standard.Before my promotion to this role, I started in customer service and then progressed to Gantry and hook dispatch. In these previous roles, I developed strong customer service and problem-solving skills. In dispatch, there is constant pressure of the unknown. Whether that unknown is breakdowns, incorrect bookings, or product shortages I strive myself on being able to find a solution and overcome any problem that comes across my desk. Due to my background in these previous roles, I am consistently helping the rest of the team overcome difficulties they face in these areas on a daily basis.I manage the servicing and daily upkeep of our vehicles including permitting. I liaise with mechanics and hence my mechanical knowledge is always developing. I supervise Green Gorilla's Bulk Haulage division, managing a fleet of 13 drivers. I have completed a logbook training course and have the qualification 'Logbooks & Work Time: Heavy Vehicle Drivers.' I am competent regarding New Zealand Heavy haulage laws and use this qualification daily to monitor and manage my fleet.This is a brief rundown of my day-to-day but no two days are the same.
